THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Mark Andy is seeking an Electrical Assembler to perform duties required to completely assemble all inline presses and press equipment for final shipment; from mechanical through electrical and pneumatic components. Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for assembling, debugging, troubleshooting, inspecting, correctly documenting the final assembly, print testing, packing out the press prior to shipment, and all electrical and mechanical aspects of the presses including all subassemblies and modules
Assembles final wiring on all presses including print stations, power packs, control panels, using wiring schematics, diagrams, and relevant documentation
Inspects components prior to assembly, for visual defects and damage
Identifies and corrects component failures and wiring errors using multi-meter, function generator, schematics, etc.
Perform all duties of sub mechanical and electrical assemblers
Provides training, assistance and support for engineering, technical service, and coworkers to perform their jobs more efficiently and safely
Troubleshoots and repairs all assemblies, including both electrical and mechanical components of presses
Tests presses operationally, checking for specific functions, such as running registry, counter function, web tension, web guide operations, pneumatic controls, etc.
Supports Mark Andy customers, Technical Service Department, and Print Services Department by resolving technical problems
Willing to assist Technical Service and Customer Service Departments by accepting off site travel, involving press installations and/or modifications when product schedules allow
Supports the engineering department in redesigning and building prototype presses
Assists coworkers troubleshooting technical problems of legacy presses
Assists vendors and troubleshoots the installation and integration of OEM items such as:
Trim vacuum systems
Other new products
Skilled in use of calipers, feeler-gauges, and various other types of measuring devises
Calibrates key components, such as, motor controllers, tension systems, web guides, etc., on all presses using multi-meter, engineering specifications, etc.
Trains new personnel in understanding the various systems, assembly procedures, and troubleshooting
Assist Print Services Department as required for press acceptances and demos
May prepare the following forms: Material Request, Material Return to Stock, IRAD, Discrepancy Report, etc.
Qualifications / Skills Required:
Basic knowledge of circuit components and operation
Ability to read electrical schematics
Troubleshoot using schematics
General knowledge for basic electricity
Education / Experience Required:
High school degree or equivalent
Minimum 2 to 4 years of electrical and mechanical assembly experience on Mark Andy products or equivalent experience
Oracle & personal computer
Various hand and power tools
Hoist & pallet jack
Level & various gauges
