SCOPEOFPOSITION:ReportingtotheDirectorofResearch&Development,theElectricalEngineerwillberesponsibleforensuringtheongoingsuccessoftheelectricaldesignthecompanysmedicalrepiratoryproductsanddevelopnewproductstoachievethecompanysgoals.Thisindividualisdirectlyresponsiblefortheadherencetodomesticandinternationalregulationsformedicaldevicedeveloment.
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performtheelectronicproductdevelopmentprocessthroughallphasesofproductdevelopment
Managemultipleprojectsfromconcepttocompletionwhileprovidingproductsupport,includingcoordinatingactivitiesbetweenallpartiesinvolved
Performassignmentsindependentlywithinstructionastothegeneralresultsexpected
Electricaldrawings,specifications,andcalculations.Adherencetohighreliabilitydesignpractices,suchascomponentderating,creationofFMEAs,followingastructureddevelopmentprocess.
UseofCADtoolsforschematiccaptureandPCBlayouts
Handsontroubleshooting/solderingcapabilityforSMTtechnologies
Projectcontrols,costestimates,quantitytakeoffsandmanpowerrequirementsforproposals,forecastsandchangeorders
WorkcloselywithQ&A,ManufacturingandRegulatory,andSystemEngineeringtosupportcompanygoals
Workcloselywithvendorsforcomponentsselection,purchasing,PCBlayout,fabrication,assemblyandtesting
Workingwithtechnicalstaff,contributeideasandsubstancetotheproductdesignandprocessdevelopment
Becontributortoinventiondisclosuresandpatentfilings
Leading,mentoringandguidinganelectronicstechnician
Analyzecomplexengineeringproblemsandoffereffectiveresolutions
SKILLS/APTITUDES:

REQUIREDEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
BSorMSinElectricalEngineering
Minimumof10yearsofexperienceinelectromechanicalcircuitdevelopment
5yearsminimumofMedicalDeviceexperience,includingthesuccessfuldevelopmentandlaunchofatleastonemedicaldevice,fromconceptthroughcompletion
Experienceinproductdevelopment,staffingplansandtechnologydevelopmentactivities
Experienceindevelopingelectromechanicalsoftwarecontrolleddevicesrequired
Supervisoryexperienceaplus.
