The Electrical Engineering Technician is a key member of an aggressive product development team focused on developing and commercializing fuel cell systems. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Electrical Engineering Technician is responsible for carrying out electrical system integration activities underlying our proprietary technology.
Integrate and troubleshoot electromechanical components and sensors in a fuel cell power plant. Identify root cause for failure and take appropriate corrective actions. Typical electromechanical components are pumps, blowers, control valves, compressors etc. Typical sensors in a fuel cell power plant are voltage, current, pressure, temperature and flow sensors.
Integrate and troubleshoot all AC and DC power and logic circuitry down to component level.
Select and test components from various suppliers; conduct tests in the laboratory under simulated operating environments to identify suitable components.
Document all lessons learned, maintain electrical components database and provide input to configuration management for updating BOM list.
Build system cables for production as needed.
Conduct circuit board and acceptance testing.
Communicate with and develop strong working relationships with PCB vendors.
Develop test plans for ongoing circuit board testing.
Order tools and supplies for product development lab needs.
Associates degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
