Electrical/Software Measurement Engineer QD Vision
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Electrical and software design for instrumentation relating to lifetime testing of quantum dot light emitting materials and devices. Execute optical and spectroscopic measurements of state-of-the-art quantum-dot composites as well as design and implementation of optoelectronic characterization equipment to evaluate the physical properties of QD Vision next generation quantum dots materials. The Electrical/Software Measurement Engineer will participate in designing optoelectronic test systems and will provide measurement and data management support for ongoing research and development efforts. Key responsibilities will include: design of circuits for driving high power LEDs and laser diodes, carrying out optical testing of quantum dot materials, developing and supporting test protocols, collaborating with team members to organize and carry out experiments under variable optical flux and temperature conditions, and developing reporting tools for experimental data sets. This individual will work closely with the internal QD materials and formulation development teams to help drive research and development activities.
B.S degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or other relevant technical field.
Experience with electronic circuit design. Should be able to design drivers for LED circuits. Must have understanding of thermal management relating to driving high power LED/laser diode systems.
Experience with electrical, mechanical, and optical measurement equipment.
Prior programming experience with C++, Microsoft Visual Basic, and/or Labview
Experience with materials engineering and characterization.
Must be comfortable working with high power lasers.
Hands-on, can-do individual, willing to take on challenges and drive results is required. Comfortable working in a fast paced, self managed environment with aggressive goals.
Strong grasp and rigorous application of the scientific method in daily activities.
Organized, focused and data driven with an eye toward process development and transitioning research concepts into manufacturing ready technologies.
Strong relationship and organizational skills to effectively work with a positive team approach. Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels and functions of the organization to develop solutions to technical challenges.
Able to both independently manage priorities, and also take direction to change priorities based on the direction of managers and co-workers.
