Responsibilities:
This individual will support the engineering staff during the checkout, documentation, verification, and calibration of prototype and pre-production ATE hardware and platforms. Primary responsibilities will be prototype hardware (boards and chassis) assembly, modifications, and repair. This individual will also assist with maintaining and managing the development lab resources and equipment.
Qualifications:
90 day contract-entry level position, experience in high tech industry assembly a plus. A strong aptitude for detailed handwork, especially soldering and reworking fine-pitch electronic components and the assembly and wiring of equipment chassis, is required. The candidate should possess the following capabilities and skills:
-- Proficient at soldering and reworking fine-pitch electronic components
-- Proficient at the use of small hand tools for mechanical assembly
-- Familiarity with techniques and materials used for electronics assembly cleaning
-- Understanding of AC and DC wiring standards
-- Ability to read and understand electronics schematics and wiring diagrams
-- Manage and time-share between multiple concurrent tasks and priorities
-- Ability to work alternating shifts and weekends
