In addition to our core dating product, we are currently focused on creating the world?s most innovative mobile/tablet dating applications and a new application focused on helping couples discover and buy amazing date experiences.
The Role
You are a highly ambitious, data-driven student of human nature that wants to cut your teeth on the front lines of a fast-paced marketing team that?s speaking to the deep needs of customers. This position will focus on the email marketing campaigns that touch every single HowAboutWe customer, every single day and will include additional contributions to the marketing team. You?ll need to love to learn, be strategic, think analytically and have a deep ambition to be part of small team that is making a business thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute email marketing campaigns through set-up, testing, execution, reporting and optimization in order to drive revenue for both the dating and couples products. (If you?ve never done this before, don?t worry - it?s mostly about creating and testing hypotheses about what will work - for example, testing that a subject line that includes a user's name will have a higher open rate.)
Analyze campaign performance & provide recommendations for improving efficacy of our campaigns through targeting, personalization, and creative
Build daily, weekly, and monthly dashboards to monitor key email performance metrics, and understand/explain variance
Work with our branding and design teams to ensure our emails are both effective and on-brand
Assist in managing expectations & communications with our Email Service Provider
Stay current with industry standards and best practices
Your skills and qualifications
You want to be a key part of growing a business, and be able to directly see the impact of your work reflected in key metrics, every single day
You hold a bachelors degree and love to learn
You have 1-3 years of experience in marketing, finance, consulting or similar fields
You are a scrappy self-starter motivated by the fast-paced startup world
You are detail-oriented and highly organized
You have strong analytical skills, including working knowledge of Excel (so that means Vlookups, !, $, IF statements, etc), and you are excited to learn MySQL and AMPscript if you don?t already know them
You are excited to help build a company that transforms the way people find and sustain love online and offline
