Job Description:
LegalZoom is seeking an experienced E-mail Marketing Manager to join our rapidly growing team. The position will have responsibility for assisting the e-mail strategy and schedule, overseeing development of content and creative, executing e-mail campaigns and tests, and analyzing and reporting results. The key objective for this position is maximizing profits from the e-mail channel to both new and existing customers by developing targeted strategies for acquisition, lead conversion, and re-purchase from previous buyers, consistent with overall customer relationship strategies. This position will report to the Director, Email Marketing.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and execute on e-mail contact strategies, and robust test matrix.
Create targeted e-mail campaigns using best practices in customer segmentation and clustering and LegalZoom?s rich database of buyers and site registrants.
Develop unique strategies targeting: using e-mail to find new customers; converting web-sourced leads to buyers; cross-selling other products and services to previous buyers; and developing valuable ongoing customer communications to aid in overall customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Manage creative development for new campaigns
Strategize ways to include and enhance social media efforts
Evaluate evolving technological needs to support a robust e-mail program.
Analyze and report on key e-mail metrics: deliverability, open rates, click-through rates, and response rates.
Ensure utilization of best practices and compliance around permission-based marketing, privacy, spam regulation (CAN/SPAM) and deliverability.
Develop programs to increase capture of opted-in prospect e-mail addresses.
Candidate Requirements:
2 years experience strategizing and executing e-mail campaigns for e-commerce business
Proven track record of developing new e-mail campaigns that maximize profit
Knowledge of list segmentation and customer targeting using rich, dynamically generated e-mail content
Strong direct marketing skills, excellent analytical and communication skills
Strong attention to detail balanced by ability to see big picture.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with smart highly motivated team members
Ability to perform in a self-managed environment--must be a self-starter
Strong interpersonal skills with focus on teamwork
Prior experience in cross-departmental project coordination (marketing, production, IT, customer service, etc.)
Prior experience with ESP?s is a huge plus
Experience with HTML and/or SQL is a plus
Bachelor's Degree
Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
