That's where you come in. We are looking for a talented and experienced individual to help grow and make this marketing machine the best in the business.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing Operations, you will be responsible for all email marketing at New Relic.
YOU WILL (aka the Nitty Gritty):
-Execute on all email marketing requests using our Marketing Automation platform (Marketo) to segment lists and send emails according to the marketing calendar.
-Manage all elements of the campaign process, including identifying customer segments, initial messaging hypotheses, creative (internal and external agencies), collaborating with key team members, testing, and reporting on campaign performance.
-Work with internal and external resources on copy and content for messages and provide feedback on tactics for optimizing the effectiveness of emails.
-Oversee all email operations between marketing automation software and CRM, leveraging and implementing additional email technologies where necessary.
-Manage the email marketing strategy around content, frequency, and messaging, based on ROI and performance metrics. Work with Marketing Operations and Demand Generation teams to map nurturing programs and create appropriate email flows in Marketo.
-Build and execute a comprehensive testing plan, including subject lines, content offers, copy, etc. Create and maintain internal best practices guide based on lessons learned.
-Regularly report on and interpret email KPIs, both for specific campaigns and for overall email marketing efforts.
Knowledge and Skills
--Bachelor's degree, advanced degree, and/or specific training in marketing programs management required (or equivalent experience)
--3+ years working in Direct Marketing for an online company (SaaS preferred) or digital marketing agency
--2+ years working in email marketing and thorough knowledge of email best practices
--Highly proficient in marketing automation or equivalent email marketing tool. Expert knowledge in Marketo highly desired
--Knowledge of CRM, specifically Salesforce, desired
--Deep understanding of CAN-SPAM laws
--Results-oriented with very strong attention to detail
--Ability to improvise and manage multiple projects
--Strong verbal and written communications skills
--Expert at data manipulation (pivot tables etc)
