Embedded Linux Software Engineer Edgewater Networks

Description: A self-motivated senior engineer to develop and enhance Linux driver and kernel software for networking equipment. Candidate must have a demonstrated ability to specify, code, test, deliver and support software.

Required Skills: 2 years of related hands-on experience with Linux drivers and/or Linux kernel network programming. Experience with Linux embedded systems with limited RAM and flash memory. Strong C programming and debugging skills required. Experience with bootloaders and Linux system startup required. A minimum of 5 years software experience is required.

Desired Skills: Experience with board and RTOS kernel bring-up is a strong plus. Experience with Intel Xscale IXP42X processor is a strong plus. Experience with Linux routing is a strong plus. Experience with T1, VLAN switching, IP forwarding is a plus. Experience with PCI bus, kernel optimization, and debugging tools such as logic analyzers and gdb is a plus.
