Embedded Software Consultant (3-6 months) Impinj

Develop embedded software for RFID reader chip products.

• Develop firmware for ARM M0/M3 micro-controllers using C/C++.
• Develop and/or port embedded device drivers.
• Participate in Agile iterative design and development process.
• Participate in short duration peer code reviews.
• Collaborate with development and test engineers in developing and validating an RFID reader chip product.
• Contribute to test development process as features are developed.
• Contribute to automation of build and test capabilities, as needed.

• At least 10-15 years overall software development experience, with some combination of the following:
  
  • 5-10 years embedded development in C and/or C++.
  • 2-5 years application development on any platform.
  • 1-5 years in any scripting language, but preferably Python.
• Experience in all of the above can be on Windows, Linux, Android, pure embedded, etc.
• Hardware bring-up and debugging.
• Bonus points for:
  
  • Specific experience on ARM Cortex M0/M3 cores & peripherals on either STMicro or TI chips.
  • Experience with IAR Embedded Workbench and/or TI Code Composer Studio, employing JTAG emulators for embedded debugging.

Additional Desirable Qualifications

• Understanding of RF concepts and/or experience developing embedded software for wireless communication products.
• Experience with SCRUM/Agile development processes.
