BTI's Littleton Software Team is growing and has an immediate opening for an Embedded Software Designer (OAM). As a member of the team you will participate in the design and development of new features for our innovative, Cloud Connect platform and contribute to all phases of product cycle.Responsibilities will include:
Responsible for span of the entire software product lifecycle and including requirements analysis, feature specification, design, implementation, unit test, verification support, system integration and maintenance;
Interpreting product requirements;
Contributing to software specification (technical, scheduling, resourcing);
Using appropriate software tools to implement product design changes;
Working cross-functionally with other teams to understand and respond to their requirements.
The successful candidate will possess:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science coupled with at least 1-8 years' experience developing management software for communications equipment;
C/C++ programming for embedded systems;
Experience with embedded OS's, Embedded Linux preferred;
OAM (Operation, Administration and Management) software;
Multithreaded design and programming;
Carrier-grade system requirements;
s/w experience on protocol stack (e.g. MPLS, RSVP-TE, LDP, OSPF);
Knowledge of SNMP management interface;
Knowledge of performance monitoring and alarm infrastructure;
Strong verbal and written communications skills;
Enthusiasm and a personal drive to succeed;
Ability to work independently and creatively;
Proven ability to deliver products with highest quality and on time;
Ability to understand user experience when designing system level applications.
