Ruckus Wireless has an immediate opening position for an embedded software engineer in Sunnyvale Headquarters office. The candidate is responsible for software development related to embedded Linux and networking software for the Ruckus Wi-Fi access point and controller products.Responsibilities:
Design and implement networking software and related feature on the embedded Linux for existing and new APs and controllers.
Work effectively with cross functional teams and remote development sites in different time zones to implement complete solutions.
Provide accurate and timely communication to the management concerning progress on projects and on resolving customer issues.
Qualifications:
5+ years of working experience on software development related to networking features such as: layer 2 bridging, layer 3 routing, VLAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, ARP, DNS, NAT, RADIUS accounting, 802.1x based authentication, security, scripting languages, and web technologies
Solid experience in leading the design and implementation of complex systems software for wireless devices.
Strong embedded software development and debugging skills
Strong knowledge in 802.11 wireless protocols. Wi-Fi mesh network knowledge is a big plus
Sharp analytical and problem solving skills
BS/MS in EE or CS
