Employee Communications Manager GFI Software

As an Employee Communications Manager with GFI Software, you will shape and execute the employee communications strategy for this business, connecting employees to the business, driving line of sight between their roles and GF?s priorities and objectives, and encouraging collaboration across the organization. A significant portion of your time will be devoted to change management and supporting global priorities.
You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities as well as multiple stakeholders is essential. This position calls for an enthusiastic, creative and talented communications professional with excellent writing, project management and stakeholder management skills. Other important factors for success include, identifying and deploying best practices in employee communications, as well as the ability to nurture and promote GFI Software?s values, culture and brand across all channels.
The Employee Communications Manager will report to the VP of Human Resources with matrix reporting to the Chief Program Office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
In partnership with the VP of HR and the Project Management Office, supports the development and implementation of an integrated employee communications and engagement strategy, including communications architecture, key meetings and events, recognition programs and other communications messages and vehicles
Will be responsible for the creation of GFI?s global communications strategy through a variety of channels, such as meetings, employee gatherings, online and live forums
Lead the build of the corporate intranet and manage this communication channel going forward
Deliver impactful communications to help employees and leaders understand their roles and ensure that GFI Software?s business strategies are clearly and creatively conveyed to internal audiences. Develop content and messaging
Provide strategic communications counsel and hands-on support to the CEO and Leadership Team
Write clear, concise messaging for a variety of channels, including speaking points, message guides, FAQs, supporting visuals and stories for the intranet or other vehicles
Develop content for and work closely with the Leadership Team to deliver GFI Software employee meetings and experiences
Support the rollout and internal communication of GFI?s culture and values, bringing to life the culture of the company and creating a focal point for leaders and employees to align and rally around
Support strategy development to ensure alignment between all business unit and functional group communications and activities
Identify opportunities for two-way dialogue between leaders and employees; use employee feedback to inform future actions and messaging
Collaborate and work closely with the global HR teams for internal communications and metrics for defining program success
Assist global recruitment team with external messaging and branding for candidate sourcing campaign
Partner closely with marketing communications to ensure message alignment and consistency
Employee Communications Manager Qualifications
Proven experience in strategic executive and employee communications
Proven ability to write for top leaders and experience coaching senior executives
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to convey information and ideas through high-quality verbal and written communication to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message
Ability to deliver outstanding project management of communications projects
Leadership, influencing and coaching skills
Demonstrated ability to build consensus among diverse leaders and manage sensitive situations discreetly
Experience leading multiple projects simultaneously and tracking projects with varying deadlines
Professional demeanor and the ability to provide tactful, honest counsel and work well with individuals in multiple departments, brands and countries
Strong judgment and interpersonal skills
Ability to effectively manage high-pressure issues and crisis situations
Ability to effectively track, monitor and manage expenditures against budget
Must demonstrate flexibility and be able to act quickly and confidently
Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience and expertise in social media as well as curiosity and experience in using new and emerging technology
Minimum educational level:
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or related field or equivalent experience
7+ years of relevant experience knowledge, skills and abilities with 2 plus years? experience as the lead communicator
Proven track record in the field of corporate communications or journalism
Demonstrated ability to manage internal client relationships, including executive level, in small- to mid-size organizations, with a global company or has worked in an agency with similar client profiles.
Experience in other functions within corporate communications (i.e., public affairs, digital/social media, etc), a plus.
Willingness to travel and work nights and weekends as necessary
