MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide senior level employee relations advisory services to agency's leadership on appropriate procedures, policies, and government regulations related to disciplinary actions, information requests, employee suitability, and civil rights
Provide ombudsman employee relations related support services to agency's employees
Provide technical support to the Awards and Recognition Program by drafting executive level correspondence, to include condolence letters, retirement letters, White House letters, transportation awards summaries, and talking points for management among similar duties
Provide support during Award ceremonies, to include the Administrator's, Secretary's and Length of Service ceremonies by developing talking points, providing information to the Office of the Secretary (OST) on nominees, working up nominee packages, coordinating communication between the agency, OST, Division offices and nominees, to facilitate appropriate recognition of employees within the agency
Provide general back-up support to the Benefits and Personnel Security areas, as needed, by answering inquiries and providing appropriate forms to employees
Provide other employee relations and awards and recognition administrative and technical support services, as needed
Bachelors Degree + 6 years' experience, or 10 years' experience without bachelors.
Must have Employee Relations experience
Experience drafting executive level correspondence including but not limited to condolence letters, retirement letters, White House letters, transportation awards summaries, and talking points for management
Superior interpersonal skills and customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proven abilities to communicate effectively through email, in person, and through presentations
Must be a U.S. Citizen
