Opportunity for a highly driven, End User Support Technician to help manage the IT needs of a fast paced, progressive technology enterprise headquartered in Chantilly, VA. Individual must be a self-starter who can support the technology needs of a growing employee base and solve end user IT issues from start to finish with little supervision. The primary responsibilities of this position are:
Act as a primary point of contact to the end user for all IT related service requests.
Hands on support of all end user hardware, software and break/fix issues. This includes security around all system user accounts and passwords in Active Directory, corporate email system, and related applications and services.
Assist with technical issues related to MS Office 2010/2013 and other common Windows applications, printers, scanners and other hardware.
Assisting in LAN related issues including identifying and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Imaging, deploying and supporting all end user PC laptops and desktops.
Managing tasks and workload through the DSC ticket request system.
Working with all IT team members to assess and solve companywide IT issues.
Providing instruction and guidance to all end users on corporate voice and data systems as needed.
Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance, inventory, and security measures associated with the company?s voice and data networks.
Participation in after hours and weekend support work as necessary.
AS or BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, MIS or equivalent experience preferred.
1-2 years? experience supporting end user computing hardware and client operating systems such as Windows XP, 7 and 8.
1 year experience maintaining systems in a TCP/IP based network.
1 year MAC OSX support experience in a corporate environment.
Experience working with ITSM systems such as Remedy, ServiceNow.com, SAManage or Zendesk.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience effectively communicating with technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong face to face and phone based customer service skills.
Demonstrated efficient and effective use of problem-solving and task prioritization to solve complex IT challenges.
