Dachis Group is seeking a full-time Account Director / Engagement Manager. with 8+ years account management and/or producer experience to grow existing accounts focused on customer engagement delivery for large scale Facebook programs, advocacy programs, and social media management. Successful candidates will have 5+ years experience in business development and account management with at least 2 years experience in managing social media programs. Candidates must excel at developing client relationships, and support our clients as partners as they navigate through an organization and create processes and success criteria for social media programs. Account, client, and resource management experience and superior writing ability are required.
Main Responsibilities:
- Overall account management, expanding services with current clients and building relationships with new clients. Develops, manages, and maintains relationships with existing and potential medium-sized and large corporate clients. Reviews and defines client's needs and pricing arrangements.
- Follows up on leads, creates proposals and closes the sale. Works with account management and project management teams to accurately scope, price, and resource projects.
- Manage projects through from concept to completion, maintaining budgets and schedule.
- Understand and articulate digital media and social business trends for clients, suggesting new solutions before client has had the ability to articulate their specific need.
- Manage all client communication and reporting, write proposals, submit regular reports.
- Develop a process for communication within the client organization to deliver against a conversational marketing program.
- Oversee an internal team of people -- delegate roles and responsibilities and manage day-to-day operations of team - not in a supervisory role, but in a resource management role.
- Own responsibility for account growth: identifying new opportunities for strategy, optimization, insights, intelligence, and delivery that benefit the client's business, and Dachis Group.
Skills Required:
- Marketing planning: ability to partner with the strategy team to translate brand strategy and market research into a customer engagement activation plan.
- Listening and response: ability to listen and observe patterns within online communities and social media conversations and recommend shifts to brand and marketing strategy on an ongoing basis.
- Creative interface: ability to develop creative briefs to create content and programs that deliver against strategic objectives.
- Facilitation: ability to work within a Fortune 1000 organization to build strategic alignment for an innovative marketing program, establishing strong relationships with senior leaders and bridging alliances across marketing, consumer research, technology, new product development, customer service, R&D, and PR in a manner that delivers continuous improvement.
- Consumer research: oversee the management of a qualitative and quantitative research process, including familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methods, both in conducting, analyzing, and reporting data in a compelling format that can be digested by a senior executive.
- Project and budget management: demonstrated experience managing online website development, budget reporting, and reporting on results.
- Knowledge of how social media and online communities function: personal adoption and use of social media, experience participating, managing, or facilitating an online community a plus.
- Experience managing for technical development in the social media space a plus, specifically creation of online communities, Facebook applications, and mobile applications.
- Experience working with Fortune 1000 brands.
