The Engine Test Cell Technician will be responsible for operation, maintenance and system upgrades to the engine test cell, including:Operation of the engine test bed following a specified test plan
Routine maintenance of the test cell (oil changes, fuel fill, etc.)
Removal and installation of engines on the test bed
Overseeing safe operation of the engine while on the test bed
Mechanical adjustments or alterations to the engine while in the test cell
Accurate data recording of engine test parameters
Calibration of test cell measurement equipment
Instrumentation hardware and software configuration in the test cell
Post processing of test data
Requirements:
High school diploma or foreign educational equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a mechanical equipment testing environment
Proficiency with hand tools used in engine maintenance
Understanding of basic electronic circuits
Understanding of mechanical measurement devices and their use
Proficiency with basic Microsoft software products (Excel, Word, etc.)
Desirable Skills:
Technical or trade school degree in engine repair or testing
Experience with engine or mechanical system repair or alteration
Experience with engine or test cell data acquisition systems
Programming experience with LabView software
Flexible hours
