Entry-Level Position
Job Description:
Member of team responsible for device modeling of Peregrine?s patented high-performance UltraCMOS? silicon-on-sapphire CMOS process technology. The candidate will work closely with modeling engineers and CAD to support internal design groups and external foundry customers with model extractions and data analysis.
Roles & Responsibilities
This position has responsibility for:
Application of basic model extraction methods.
Device characterization and data analysis.
Test hardware and software set-up.
Statistical data analysis
Model implementation on multiple EDA platforms.
Knowledge, Skill and Competency Requirements
Competency is based on: education, training, skills and experience. In order to perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and competencies:
Understanding of semiconductor device physics
Knowledge of basic model types and capabilities.
Ability or make DC and CV measurements.
Knowledge of SPICE Simulation Language.
Understanding of FET/BJT device performance metrics.
The following traits are highly valued:
Experience using the Cadence Design System.
Model extraction of complex device effects.
Writing code for controlling test equipment.
Education and Experience:
AS EE (or related field) & 5-7 years? experience
BS EE (or related field) & 2-3 years? experience
MS EE or Ph.D. EE (or related field) with 0-2 years? experience
