Jaspersoft 2013 Summer Intern Opportunity: Engineering Infrastructure
12 week program commencing Mid-May, 2013
This is an exciting opportunity for a summer intern to join Jaspersoft Engineering Department working as a software developer for the Infrastructure Team at our corporate headquarters in San Francisco, California. Jaspersoft is the most widely used open-source business-intelligence product in the world, and the Infrastructure Team is responsible for developing and maintaining core technologies at the heart of Jaspersoft's flagship product, JasperReports Server. This internship is an opportunity to work with our top software developers and architects to help advance one of the most innovative BI platforms on the market.
We're looking for a motivated and talented individual who will join a new scalability initiative to improve clustering support of the JasperReports Server dealing with both scale-up and scale-out aspects of server performance. The intern will be learning about clustering technologies, distributed caching, load balancing and messaging and will gain hands-on experience in coding, testing, configuring and deploying a clustered web application. The ideal candidate should be able to translate high level goals into an attainable work plan, and then to execute the plan while demonstrating the highest technical standards for architecture and implementation of software systems.
This position is available starting mid-May for a period of 90 days, 32 hours per week.
