Redfin offers college students a unique summer internship experience. Whether you?re looking to be a Software Developer or QA Engineer, all of our interns work on real production code and are part of real feature teams. Since we ship a release every few weeks, our interns feel the thrill of seeing their work go live each summer.We?re located in downtown San Francisco, CA and Seattle, WA both great places to spend the summer. You?ll work with world-class engineers and product managers that build our web search experience, mobile apps, client Deal Room, agent tools, marketplaces, and back-end data systems.
You: You're a sophomore, junior or senior in college working towards a Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or other technical degree. You code. You care passionately about really great experiences. You sweat the details. You make it beautiful. You have a natural drive to move fast, to deliver actual results. You're a leader but you're also a team player.
The Tools: Great engineers want to work on emerging technologies. Our website is built with Java, Spring, JSP, Postgres, Hadoop, Hibernate, HTML, CSS, JS, dojo, and various other tools/libraries. In production we run on Linux. On our desktops we mostly run Mac and Windows, but some opt for Linux. We use Eclipse, Maven, SVN, and Hudson.
What you'll get from us: Far more responsibility than internships at a big company, while at the same time far less stress than you will find in a 2-guys-in-a-garage startup. You'll see the fruits of your labor released to the web every few weeks and you'll share in our joy as we hear back from customers, bloggers, and national media.
