Engineering Intern - Biomaterials Lab K2M
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Assists Biomaterials Laboratory engineers with various research and development activities. Writes test protocols, conducts basic testing, and develops test reports presenting the results. Performs literature reviews and data analyses for application in testing and manuscript completion.
This is a paid position and we will not be offering any relocation assistance.
Conduct preliminary patent searches and literature reviews for research projects, providing concise summaries as needed.
Develop an understanding of the operation and capabilities of all K2M test equipment.

Write and edit test protocols, operational procedures, and other related documents.
Perform mechanical testing and prepare test protocols and reports.
Prepare detailed part and assembly models and drawings for various types of medical devices and test fixtures.
High school or actively pursuing an engineering degree at an accredited university.
Must be able to effectively and clearly communicate concepts, ideas and knowledge to other individuals and teams.
Some exposure to, knowledge of, or interest in biological/biomedical/mechanical engineering principles.
Must be able to demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong creative ability.
Ability to learn new software packages as needed.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with statistical software (SAS, JMP, etc.) and/or 3D modeling software is a plus.
