Engineering Intern - Part-time nCircle Network Security

This is a part-time (28 hours per week) ENTRY level job.

Network security is one of the most exciting sectors of the information technology industry. We have an opportunity for a college student or recent graduate to join our IP360 Engineering team and learn what it takes to build world-class enterprise security software.

General Overview:

The Engineering Intern is an entry-level engineer who has limited work experience but a strong desire to learn about how network security software is designed, built and tested. They will be included with a team of highly experienced software engineers and QA engineers on an agile team working on the IP360 product.

The successful candidate must be able to listen well and learn quickly. This person should also have excellent verbal and written communications skills and a strong analytical mind.
Specific Responsiblities:

Perform testing on the IP360 product
Write tools and scripts to help software engineers develop or test the product
Participate in planning and triage sessions
Reproduce reported issues on IP360 appliances or virtual machines

Required Skills and Experience:

Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python or Perl
Knowledge of Unix administration, preferably Linux
TCP/IP, networking knowledge and troubleshooting
Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skill
