Twilio is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our Data team and Business Intelligence team.
This is a technical hands-on leadership role focused on mentoring data developers and providing robust and reliable data management platform for business teams.
As a successful candidate for this role, you have managed small functional teams and delivered reliable service to business customers in a fast and incremental manner.

Provide technical mentorship to your team members.
Build the next round of Business Information Systems that are core to Twilio's operations.
Manage personnel in an empathetic high-touch way, including weekly/bi-weekly one-on-ones with direct reports. Coach and unblock them on a daily basis. Encourage and teach them to drive to complete key objectives. Assist in their longer term career and skills development
Minimum of 5 years of experience in large and complex production grade data warehouse systems.
Solid enterprise grade data warehouse architecture and design experience
Broad knowledge of Data Warehouse systems, Data Management and Big Data technologies
Proven track record as engineering leader for a team with 5+ members
Stellar communication, organization, and management skills
Deep knowledge of agile software development processes
Enthusiasm for working in a high profile, fast-paced startup. We ship products on a daily basis, with tight schedules, small teams, and a large user-base

You have scaled MySQL for writes, and for reads.
You've built data warehouses in AWS, and have opinions about what works and what doesn't.
