About the job:
Twilio is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Developer Tools team.
You will be creating, improving, maintaining, operating all development, automation and quality engineering toolset for all engineering teams at Twilio.
This is a leadership role focused on nurturing and expanding a team of world class engineers, providing people management and driving agile product delivery.
As a successful candidate for this role, you have demonstrated a talent for balancing long-term product strategy with getting things done in the short-term.
You have managed team dynamics in a high growth environment, hiring and mentoring world class developers.
You have lead teams through stressful situations and have demonstrated the ability to teach sound decision making.

The Developer Tools Engineering Manager at Twilio is about leading the team who provides and operates the underlying development platform for all engineering teams at Twilio.
You will play a key role in shaping Twilio's software development practices and supporting it with world class development tooling - that's the core of engineering.
Recruit new team members, own their on-boarding, and make them successful.
Anticipate changing directions and priorities, and manage in the face of uncertainty.
Minimum of five years as manager in a software development discipline.
Proven track record as engineering leader for a team with 5+ team members.
You have been an engineer by trade, you're passionate about development process management tools.
Stellar communication, organization and management skills.
Deep knowledge of agile software development processes.
Hands on experience in setting up, integrating and rolling out engineering process management tools.
Expert in continuous integration and deployment practices.
Enthusiasm for working in a high-profile, fast-paced start-up.
You write code for fun.
You have an idea of what API Twilio should launch next, and what you'd like to build with it.
