About the Job

Nexant is currently seeking an Engineering Manager I for the Utility Services business unit in our White Plains, NY office.
Duties and Responsibilities
? Manage energy study projects assigned by Client. This includes reviewing the project scope of work and working with the energy consultant to ensure it is in line with client?s guidelines
? May mange a team that consists of up to 3 engineers
? Provide a technical review of the energy studies and work with the consultants on revisions
? Lead and perform RCx and energy audits
? Perform and QC energy efficiency calculations (Spreadsheet and Energy Model)
? Conduct site inspections and perform data logging to verify energy savings
? Maintain excellent communications with client
? Support Nexant?s utility programs under the direction of the Engineering Manager
? Produce high quality deliverables (reports and analyses) with limited QC review
? Participate in Nexant?s Technical Working Groups
? Other duties as directed.
? Bachelor?s or master?s degree in mechanical engineering, sustainable building practices, or similar
? Minimum 7 years of experience within the energy efficiency or building efficiency industry
? Experience with energy audits and RCx is a must
? Minimum 1 year of engineering team management experience
? Proven time and budget management ability. Able to meet and anticipate difficulty in meeting deadlines and budget
? Hands-on experience with M&V equipment and familiar with IPMVP
? Experience in energy modeling (e.g. eQUEST, EnergyPro, Trane Trace, etc.)
? Familiarity with building systems (particularly lighting and HVAC), sustainability practices, relevant building codes and standards (e.g. IECC, ASHRAE 90.1, etc.)
? Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
? Ability to quickly learn complex technical subjects
? P.E., C.E.M., or LEED AP certification is desirable
? Must be able to travel up to approximately 40% of the time.
