Jawbone's Electrical Program Management team is looking for a self-starting Systems Engineering Program Manager to join our rapidly growing team. This person will report to the Leader of WW Program Management. The ideal candidate thrives in an innovative and challenging environment and has a passion for delivering high quality integrated hardware and software systems. Successful candidates will excel at developing relationships, facilitating and influencing groups, managing a wide variety of projects simultaneously, organizing and prioritizing critical path tasks, comprehending and assimilating new information while maintaining a strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality. Experience with responsibility for all facets of overall product development a plus.
Major Responsibilities:
Drive day to day engineering activities to meet overall program objectives
Lead cross-functional communication between Jawbone internal project teams and external vendors
Provide timely and decisive, experience-based feedback resulting in issue resolution and critical path management
Oversee the development of product quality and reliability standards
Responsible for evaluating the financial impact that engineering decisions make on overall project budget/end product cost
Qualification and Skills Requirements:
7-10 years of experience
BS in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science, MS degree preferred
Ability to apply fundamental Electrical Engineering skills to facilitate project issue resolution
Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire team members
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Disciplined and pro-active with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
Preferred Experience:
Track record of delivering products via ODM / OEM partners
Familiarity with Bluetooth wireless, Embedded Systems and / Audio design
Worldwide compliance experience (FCC, CE)
History of delivering product to mobile phone carrier network partners
Experience facilitating projects with geographically distributed team members
--Some travel will be required for this position, but will be held to the minimum possible.
