ENGINEERING PROGRAM MANAGER Belkin Corporation
What you?ll do
As an Engineering Program Manager you will be responsible for managing programs to ensure successful launch on time, on budget, and with high quality.
You will lead multiple small to large programs from concept through First Customer Ship, following Belkin?s Product Development life cycle. The job involves frequent interaction with internal cross-functional team members, division executive staff members, partners and vendors, sales account teams and occasionally, end customers. The work scope will include, but is not limited to, management of the program managers and programs from design, execution, test activities, product introduction, and post product delivery support. You will have broad responsibilities in managing moderate sized programs that involve team members from all disciplines. You must possess the ability to promote collaborative decision-making, provide direction and establish a sense of urgency in the program team. Must be able to objectively evaluate risks to program objectives and be comfortable making difficult decisions, as well as deal with a certain degree of ambiguity and is also capable of making sound business decisions with minimal guidance.
How you?ll do it
Lead multiple product development teams through the life cycle process from concept to product delivery.
Manage programs involving cross-functional disciplines of Design, Engineering (ME, EE, Software), Operations, Technical Publications, Service, Marketing and Finance.
Create, develop and manage program budget and product cost targets.
Create, develop and manage staffing requirements and resource plan
Create, develop, integrate and manage schedule for program and product delivery.
Deliver programs under budget, resource and time constraints established in the program plan.
Create risk management list and contingency plans. Decide upon and execute contingency plans, when required.
Report program status to multi-tiered audiences composed of team, peers, BU directors and executive staff audiences.
Participate in process and business workflow improvements in product life cycle, cost-downs and internal division processes.
Programs may involve a mix of in-bound OEM/ODM, remote development and support teams, internal development and support teams, out-bound OEM (major customer), board level designs, software only programs, and chip level products.
What you?ll need
Bachelor Degree with an engineering and /or business related concentration
Master of Business Administration (MBA) or technical graduate degree, a plus
3 - 5 years of project and program management experience required. A minimum of two years of the experience must be in a role as a successful, demonstrated program manager with involvement from initial concept through product delivery.

Program management experience which includes:
o Ability to multi-task and manage multiple concurrent programs (usually at different stages of the life cycle)
o Ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams in a matrix management environment
o Understanding of program requirements involving internal and external customers and the ability to communicate these to multiple tiered audiences
o Ability to negotiate program and product tradeoffs
o Ability to develop program plans with concentration on meeting product performance, development of budgets and schedule goals
o Demonstration of collaborative team building skills
o Ability to resolve conflicts in a productive manner
o Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
o Proven ability to build collaboration among team members
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
o Proficiency in a PLM toolkit software a plus
