Summary of Functions:
Due to continued growth we are seeking an Engineering Services Program Manager at our 2000+ employee cellular phone reverse logistics and repair center in Ft. Worth.
Summary of Functions:
The Engineering Services Program Manager supports the Manager(s) of Engineering Services, Technical Services and Laboratory Operations in planning, executing and tracking their respective projects and initiatives in support of the overall Engineering Services mission.
Specifically, this support includes but is not limited to, the following tasks and areas of accountability:
Planning and Administration:
Work with the respective Managers in developing and tracking an annual capital equipment, operating expense, and headcount plan.
Work with Finance in developing accurate and timely reports and transactions to develop and execute Client Invoices and track organizations financial performance.
Work with the various Engineering, Operations and Client Managers to continuously assure and improve service levels
Client Interface:
Serve as the primary day-to-day Client contact for Engineering Services. Work with the appropriate New Breed and client personnel to understand Client requirements, then translate and schedule those requirements as executable projects with clearly understood deliverables.
Track and report out Engineering Services status regarding current and planned client-committed projects.
Owns the process for translating Engineering Services projects and work product into client-deliverable Engineering Reports.
Essential Characteristics:
Technically savvy, though not necessarily a practicing Engineer.
Familiar with wireless devices
Detail oriented
Understands continuous improvement tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC
Understands laboratory/engineering environments and operations
Enjoys customer interaction
Can juggle numerous tasks without losing visibility or control
Works well under tight and sometimes unreasonable deadlines
Very strong written communications skills.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline
Minimum 3 years directly related experience
Prefer 10 years + total experience
Prefer experience working in a Service Provider role or organization
