Engineering Technician Niagara Thermal
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Job Description:
Support new product development and other engineering initiatives.
Support prototype development by assisting in the manufacture and assembly of subcomponents and customer-deliverable parts in a timely fashion that meets our customers? expectations.
Support the design engineering group.
Support the applications engineers.
Develop and verify new manufacturing processes and tooling.
Support transition of prototype parts to production parts by assisting in the development on production fixturing and manufacturing processes.
Create CNC programs for new products using cam software.
Develop, improve and maintain fixtures in CNC and welding departments.
Oversee process maintenance related to AMS 2750 and AWS C3.7 certifications, including performance of Temperature Uniformity surveys.
Support continuous improvement activities, including evaluation and improvement of special equipment at NTP facilities.
Assist Manufacturing Engineering in completion of Design of Experiment (DOE) and all other R&D activities as required.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Associates Degree or technical school diploma or equivalent in relevant work experience preferred.
5 years related experience required. 10 years of related experience preferred.
Experience in a fabricated metal product manufacturing environment.
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills required.
Mechanically inclined and possess strong degree of attention to detail.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw and apply valid conclusions while working in a multi-tasked environment.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, including but not limited to safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and drawings.
Ability to write routine reports.
Basic mathematical skills required.
Strong attention to detail.
Proficient personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Ability to maintain logs and records preferred.
Ability to be cross-trained throughout manufacturing facility.
Product testing experience

Niagara Thermal's products are used to cool a wide range of electronics chassis and have been incorporated on major telecommunications systems for various companies including Lucent Technologies
