We are currently looking for a talented Engineering Technician to expand our Device Production Group. The Engineering Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing a wide array of mobile handset devices produced by multiple manufacturers. We are looking for someone who is passionate about electronics.
Responsibilities:
Entering new and duplicate devices information in the system
Reverse engineering of hardware video and touch screen for duplicate devices
Troubleshoot hardware related issues for duplicate devices
Documentation of duplicate devices procedures
Work with hardware engineers to troubleshoot issues devices
Testing the functionality of MCD devices prior to delivering devices to QC
Follow production schedule and deliver devices on time
Assist production QC with issue devices
Repair RMA devices and document any changes on the device
Integration of mobile phone handsets into Keynote?s phone virtualization system
Assist engineers to interface with video display and touch screen functions of mobile phones
Configure test system database settings to support new devices
Development and documentation of new integration techniques and procedures
Qualifications:
Must have strong technical troubleshooting skills in both digital and analog circuits
Excellent soldering and SMD rework skills
Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, specifications, and manuals
Professional, clear verbal and written communication
Familiar with SQL and C++ programming is a plus
Work independently to meet goals with minimal supervision
Experience using test equipment such as DVM and Oscilloscope
Must work well with a team environment, be highly motivated and enthusiastic
Some familiarity with Windows PC, and device drivers
AA degree or military training in electronics
A strong interest in cell phone technology and a desire to work in a fast paced environment are highly desirable
