Enterprise Account Executive-Bay Area, CA
The Enterprise Account Executive establishes relationships and sells
Eucalyptus products and services direct to Fortune 1000 prospects and
customers. Uses experience selling complex software solutions to large
enterprise accounts and effectively utilize all available resources to
achieve established goals and metrics.
Principal Responsibilities
Responsible for selling the complete Eucalyptus suite of products and services.
Carry a revenue quota and meet or exceed sales targets.
Interact strongly with customer at the Senior Management level and form relationships with C level contacts within these accounts.
Understand and document customer's business and IT strategies, priorities and goals.
Identify, develop, execute, and maintain account strategies to drive adoption of Eucalyptus products and services in enterprise accounts.
Understand and navigate account procurement procedures to successfully negotiate transactions.
Provide regular and accurate updates on account opportunities
to sales management.
Knowledge and Skills
Demonstrated track record of establishing strategic business
and IT executive level relationships with customers to position and sell
software and services to Fortune 1000 companies.
Able to consistently qualify, generate, and execute on
opportunities that provide profitable revenue to Eucalyptus. Consistently
builds an effective pipeline and executes on each phase of the sales
process.
Proven ability to develop and maintain strong working
relationships with internal marketing, technology, implementation, and
product development teams.
Strong consultative selling ability - critical questioning,
listening, analytical, negotiation, communication, and presentation.
Demonstrated ability to develop and articulate compelling
qualitative and quantitative business cases for IT solutions.
Proven track record of success selling in a highly competitive
environment.
Solid understanding of open source, virtualization, and cloud
computing.
Self starter with a high energy level and proven track record
of quota over-achievement.
Excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
Dynamic presenter with the ability to translate technical
thoughts to everyday language.
Requirements
BA/BS degree or higher.
5 to 10 years of quota carrying software or technology sales
and account management experience, with at least 5 years selling software to
large enterprise accounts.
Experience using sales automation tools such as Salesforce.com
Network of enterprise "reference contacts" with whom one has
built a trust relationship and with whom one can gain an audience to present
Eucalyptus solutions and identify opportunities.
Ability to travel as appropriate in order to manage and close
opportunities.
Management experience strongly desired.
