| Description: | Bazaarvoice works with some of the worlds largest and best known brands. Many of these organizations have purchased just one product or implemented on just one or so brands. The Enterprise Sales Director will be responsible for growing these customers to million dollar accounts. Responsibilities include onsite meetings, calls, negotiations, strategic account planning, and updating the Sales Leadership team on your progress. The ideal candidate will be able to carry the entire sales process from start to finish on your own merits and skills. This doesnt mean we wont be helping you sell we absolutely will. But we believe strongly in a sales person that has the ability to play all of the important sales roles, from: 1. Being confident in selling a high-ROI solution that will cost the client over 1,000,000 per year 2. Demonstrating the value propositions of our products and services 3. Building important executive relationships across an organization 4. Managing internal communications within Bazaarvoice 5. Convincing clients IT personnel and being able to talk shop with them 6. Partnering with the clients marketing and merchandising staff and working through their organization to find the key champion 7. Working through the legal aspects of the contract with the clients lawyer while leveraging our internal counsel to close the deal Enterprise Sales Director: The Snapshot Tasks you perform on a daily basis include: - Prospecting (leveraging personal network and executive network to set meetings at VP, GM and CXO levels). - Prospect & client relationship building - Pricing and contract negotiations - Managing cross functional teams on enterprise accounts and opportunities (marketing, product management and marketing, community management, executiveconnections, etc.) A background in enterprise selling and strategic account planning and management is required. It is critical that you are passionate about joining Bazaarvoice and helping us grow our business, not just looking to leave where you are today. Finally, we are looking for a candidate that is extraordinarily bright and flexible. The best people in early-stage companies usually end up serving in multiple roles over a brief period of time. Flexibility and a desire to constantly learn and push yourself is absolutely required to succeed in this environment. You will be responsible for some of Bazaarvoices largest customers. This position will require that you travel as much as 50 of your work week. Job Requirements: - Education o Bachelors degree, preferably in MIS, Computer Science, or Engineering o Coursework focused on eCommerce studies would be a plus - 7+ years of enterprise software sales experience o 2+ years of experience with SaaS - Consistent track record of over performance o Closing multimillion dollar opportunities with Global 1000 accounts - Consultative, value-based sales methodology and experience. Customer references demonstrating this would be ideal. - Executive presence and boardroom presentation skills (assessed as part of the test) - Exec rolodex for target enterprise accounts will be a huge plus o Examples: Motorola, Sony, Kraft, etc. - Strong leadership skills. Enterprise sales directors will need to be well versed in leading/quarter backing cross functional teams (sales support, services, implementation and marketing). |
