The Enterprise Automation group is seeking a qualified Enterprise Automation Developer to work with technical staff in the areas of application deployment automation and notification; analysis; troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
The Enterprise Automation Developer designs and builds automation solutions using a variety of tools including programming, scripting and deployment packages such as Microsoft Build and Deploy. The ideal candidate will have the ability to participate in discussions with the purpose of finding automated solutions to complex application deployment scenarios. The successful candidate will use his/her programming skills to synthesize complex application deployment requirements into programmatic automated solutions that can effectively deploy applications unattended. The selected candidate will ensure timely delivery of quality automated deployment solutions along with supporting documentation that describes the deployment software?s functionality, capability and known limitations.
Our technologies include C#, CRM, InstallShield, Microsoft Build Services, .NET, NT Command Script, Perl, PowerShell, Subversion, Team Foundation Server, Windows and XML.
Using strong analytical, programming and technical skills, the Enterprise Automation Developer will build automated deployment solutions, analyze issues escalated from end users of automated build and deployment solutions and identify sources of technical faults to work toward a resolution. Some other key responsibilities include:
Maintaining and enhancing automated application build processes
Investigating and diagnosing escalated issues
Working in cross-functional team settings to design, develop, test, debug, maintain and improve automated processes
Collaborating with developers, configuration management, quality assurance, project managers and other groups or individuals, who may have competing goals, schedules and demands
Providing support to software product teams for various automation projects
Making recommendations for enhancement/maintenance of deployment applications
Prioritizing multiple tasks based on project, urgency, etc.
Managing own work to meet schedule and communicate regularly on progress
Exude a commitment to quality
The Enterprise Application Developer candidate will have a Bachelor?s Degree and 2-3 years experience in an application development/deployment automation information technology role. An example of prior experience is a candidate with build and deployment automation and/or application development in an advanced information technology role, who is technically astute, and ready to move into a more technically-demanding role.
