The DepartmentRocket Development Facility â€" Our Texas team is an integral part of SpaceX operations and plays the critical role of testing our flight vehicles and spacecraft. Located on a 700 acre site in central Texas, the Rocket Development Facility is responsible for testing hardware from development stages through acceptance for flight, and from component level to complete stage testing. Experiencing the rumbling of a rocket engine multiple times each day is just one of the highlights of working at our Rocket Development Facility.
The JobOur rapid growth has created an opportunity for a .Net Applications Developer to assist in the development of our ERP manufacturing and financial modules.
Responsibilities- Assist in web-based Front-End Development using SQL and C#
- Database Development
- ERP System Technical Support
- Assist in projects including coding automated tests, developing front-end web pages, SQL schema/migration/data scripting, and development of internal tooling
- Assist in project improvement of web-based, data-driven ERP system
- Assist in projects of HTML5 and Silverlight
- Develop novel ways site-wide to streamline processes and increase the reliability of operations
- Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment
RequirementsEducation & Experience Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a four year university or college with a degree in information systems or computer science
- Preferred GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Hands-on experience in prior internships or work experience, preferred
General Requirements:
- Strong fundamental understanding of business dashboard development
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in relaying information
- Ability to help define and document requirements for various projects
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced team environment
- Strong academic foundation is required with excellent critical problem-solving skills
Software/Computer Skills and Required Skill Level:
- Windows Operating systems, Intermediate
- Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), Intermediate
- JavaScript, html, web services, data structures, databases, source control, etc., Beginner
Work Hours and Conditions:
- Typically 50 hour work weeks, schedule varies depending on site operational needs, flexibility required
