Enterprise Sales Manager - Territories Available Across the United States
As Solera Networks continues to expand, we are looking for Enterprise Sales Management talent to cover multiple regions across the United States. The Enterprise Sales Managers target Fortune 1000 Enterprise class accounts. Applicants must have extensive experience and success in selling network security, incident response or compliance solutions to this market segment.
The successful candidate must be capable of formulating strategies and sales tactics to identify opportunities within the assigned territory to meet and exceed assigned revenue goals. This is a direct sales position, which will leverage the channel but not depend on it. The individual will identify and qualify prospective opportunities, be responsible for sales presentations to both technical and executive audiences and identify and work with teaming partners within the territory. The candidate will work directly with a dedicated Systems Engineer assigned to the territory.
In addition, this position will identify and participate in marketing events, such as trade shows, seminars and other campaigns that support growth in target markets. Frequent travel, up to 50% may be required for marketing and customer visits, providing adequate sales coverage for the large territory.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
Work independently to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets
Establish, nurture and grow existing account bases
Develop the territory specific sales strategy and go-to market plan, creating awareness, demand, channels and relationships to drive revenue
Identify new opportunities through cold calling and other prospecting techniques
Qualify prospects and develop opportunities through needs analysis and alignment of capabilities with customer requirements
Use SalesForce for opportunity tracking, accurate forecasting, pipeline management, lead generation and call activity
Prepare price quotes and negotiate terms directly with customers and prospects
Understand the client's requirements, meet deadlines and commitments and thorough follow up with clients
Identify key resellers and qualify them as possible partners
Engage with reseller sales organization to identify and prosecute opportunities within assigned territory
Successfully manage and lead the daily activities of Sales Engineers
Responsible for the effective delivery of an hour and one half sales presentation
Work and communicate cross-functionally within the company to achieve results
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in business or related field
10 years experience in sales of professional services of IT solutions
5 years experience selling in to the F1000 with a large contact base and established relationships
Proven ability to prospect and build a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities
Proven track record of sales success with emphasis on sales performance. Ranking in the top 10% of peers is highly desirable
Very strong presentation skills to both technical and executive audiences
Responsive to customer follow-up actions and attentive to reporting account information to management
A team player having the ability to manage and orchestrate corporate resources to win opportunities
Outstanding communication and time management skills
Proven ability to forecast accurately and close new business in a timely fashion
Proven ability to leverage resellers to identify and prosecute new opportunities
Self-starter requiring minimal management oversight
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently to achieve success
Solid understanding of the Enterprise market and acquisition process
Proven ability to successfully negotiate with prospects to maximize company profits
Technical knowledge and conceptual understanding of relevant applications within the IT industry
A person of high integrity
