The presales consultant works closely with potential customers to determine how Kalido solutions can best serve their unique needs.
Kalido delivers active information management for business. Developed through years of successful best practice implementations, Kalido's robust, business model-driven information management engine automatically feeds information to end users through their BI tools, making them more productive far more quickly and reducing internal costs. With Kalido, users never again have to wait for months to answer fundamental questions about business performance ? which products are selling, which customers are profitable, and which markets are most promising.

This is a customer-facing role that requires a polished professional demeanor. Customer service elements of the job include detailed, upfront phone support, personal product demonstrations, onsite audits of potential customers' current solutions, and responding to requests for information. The desired background includes a co-op or internship in software environment, with experience in using BI, ETL or data warehousing tools from vendors like Business Objects, Cognos or Hyperion.
Key Responsibilities:
Kalido presales consultants work closely with sales account executives to identify key issues for prospective customers, including:
Work with both prospective clients and Kalido Professional Services Consultants in determining and delivering optimal solution architectures for custom demonstration, Proof-of-Value (PoV) and production projects.
Solve complex sales support problems, answer prospects' product questions and prepare and perform detailed product demonstrations.
Prospect education, technical ownership of the sales engagement, business case development, PoV delivery, knowledge/best-practice sharing and marketing support.
Will be the technical account management of installed base accounts
Required Skills and Experience:
Prior co-op experience in a software environment. Experience with BI, ETL or data warehousing tools is ideal.
Advanced interpersonal and strong time management and prioritization skills.
Desire to support sales teams in exceeding revenue targets.
Ideal if you have hands-on experience working with business intelligence software products from vendors like Business Objects, Cognos or Hyperion.
A conceptual grasp of data modeling and the data warehousing approaches of Ralph Kimball and Bill Inmon; experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin, Oracle Designer, ER/Studio etc.
Application integration experience using EAI, EII and message-based technologies.
Development and deployment of web-based applications requiring understanding of Java core technologies, application servers, JSP etc.
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related degree program.
