Entry Level - Software Quality Engineer Bullhorn
Job DescriptionPosition Overview:
The Software Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of all Bullhorn product releases and for helping to ensure that our software meets or exceeds requirements and Bullhorn's software standards.
Responsibilities:
Acting as a testing resource on the team, you will work manual test plans to perform all aspects of verification, including functional, structural, regression, load, and system testing
You will conduct software tests, record data and results, and communicate these results to the software developers for appropriate action
You will provide feedback related to current testing processes, tools, and methods where appropriate
You will be responsible for ensuring that test plans are developed for each project to provide a clear way to confirm that the software being tested satisfies the requirements outlined in the product specifications and meets published Bullhorn software quality standards.
You will be an product expert.
Required Skills and Experience:
BS in Computer Science or equivalent required
Minimum of 1 year of related Quality Engineering, Software Engineering or Technical Support experience, including prior experience in a software development environment
Enterprise class product-experience, and experience testing large scale web applications is desired
Understanding of quality process and metrics, and experience using quality automation tools is desired
Solid knowledge of the Windows platform is desired
Understanding of Relational Databases, Structured Query Language, and SQL tools is desired
Experience and familiarity with scripting languages such as Javascript and VBScript is desired
Exposure to a programming language (Java, C#, C++)
Programming experience is highly desirable
Strong problem solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must have the ability to perform as a team player and self-starter
