Job DescriptionPosition Overview:
As a key member of the core development team, the Designer/Developer will come up with awesome front end design concepts by connecting business requirements, consumer trends and engineering pragmatism.Build quick prototypes; engage with Graphic Artists to achieve best-in-class user experience, test out user feedback and update. Additionally the ideal candidate willcollaborate with a team of developers and quality assurance engineers on the specification, design and creation of new software products. You will be responsible for content layout, generated HTML and CSS, interactive functionality, user experience, and interaction flow.
Required Skills and Experience:
Demonstrated experience in the development of front-end programming for high volume transactional targeted websites
High proficiency and experience in Javascript, Ajax, JQuery, CSS,HTML in Linux/Unix environments and J2EE/Java backend
Thorough understanding of web principles ? User Interface, Social Media APIs, SEO, Semantic HTML, Site Performance, Accessibility
Qualifications:
A positive, innovative, energizing, collaborative work style is required
1-2 years of HTML/CSS development experience, with a track record of well designed, cross-browser compatible, accessible, well-structured websites.
Expert abilities with HTML and CSS
Solid JavaScript (AJAX, DHTML, and jQuery)
Good communications skills and an ability to clearly articulate and defend UX decisions to a wide audience
Strong desire to create excellent user interfaces.
Ability to work with Java server code
HTML5, CSS3, solid semantic HTML a plus
