Freescale has a number of opportunities for interns interested in learning how to apply their education and skills to the corporate Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) field. With our EHS staff and onsite business partners, you will learn semiconductor manufacturing operations and the development and application of EHS programs in a real world setting. The intern will complete projects to support the department?s mission to ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws, reduce risk, and promote workplace safety and health and environmental protection. Based on qualifications and fields of study, work may include environmental engineering, safety compliance and risk management, industrial hygiene assessments, and/or occupational nursing. Responsibilities may include the collection and analysis of data, review and interpretation of regulations, interaction with business partners and the development and implementation of solutions.
Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor?s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Nursing, or Chemistry, with a GPA of 3.25 or higher
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Good time management skills and a proven ability to complete tasks within a designated timeframes.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
