Equipment Engineer-Mechanical Stion
Primary Responsibilities:Support the Engineering Department?s equipment needs in mechanical design, modification & optimization
Specification, design, development, construction and implementation of various processing and manufacturing tools and equipment in the production of solar panels
Geared toward the backend ? packaging (lamination, ribbon attachment, jbox attachment, framing, testing)
Focus on the startup and optimization of tools and equipment to maximize production yield
Develop expertise in electro-mechanical tool operation
Design work on fixturing and auxiliary tooling
Requirements and Qualifications:
BSME with 5-10 years experience, MS preferred
Experience in thin film technologies, and/or solar panel development highly desired
Prior experience in machine/equipment design a plus
Must be hands on, self motivated and self directed
Extensive knowledge of CAD design required (5yrs), direct experience with Autocad Inventor preferable
Expertise in reading mechanical P&ID's and electrical schematics with ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment issues
Rapid prototyping, industrial fabrication and machine shop knowledge helpful
Good working relationships with machine shops, suppliers, vendors
