The Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for correctly maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing complex semiconductor manufacturing equipment to achieve manufacturing process yield and productivity goals. Provide a level of equipment maintenance support that will result in improved machine availability and performance, manage equipment resources to improve equipment management indices, such as cycle time and cost of ownership. Anticipates and diagnoses problems, performs scheduled maintenance procedures, records machine status and requirements, maintains spare parts inventory and various other activities related to the success of the assigned process area.
Candidate must possess at least an Associates Degree in an engineering or science discipline with a minimum of 5 years semiconductor manufacturing experience.
-Two additional years of relevant technician experience may be substituted for degree.
Additional qualifications include:
Basic electronics, equipment troubleshooting, installation, repair and operation of Semiconductor manufacturing technology
Must be able to read schematics and complex drawings/diagrams
Must be physically capable of standing for long periods of time as well as lifting and carrying objects up to 50 pounds
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable presenting issues and solutions
Ability to work well in a diverse team environment and multitask
Ability to work with minimal supervision and adjust to rapidly changing priorities
Ability to produce results in a timely manner
Analytical problem solving and testing skills
Previous preventative maintenance and troubleshooting experience on 200mm process equipment
Knowledge of process control systems and SPC systems
Previous Semiconductor fabrication experience a requirement
Experience working with or in close proximity to hazardous gas and chemicals and their by-products
Candidate must have 3+ yrs experience as a Customer Engineer supporting FILMS Producer Platforms
