Equipment Maintenance Technician Second Sight Medical Products
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED We are searching for an EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN. This position is responsible to perform advanced mechanical and electronic repair and troubleshooting work. Work involves maintaining, installing, and modifying various types of machines while training others. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Coordinates company safety program.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
? Follows all applicable company operating procedures (SOP, DOP, MAN, QAP)
? Acts as liaison to environmental agencies.
? Services and repairs various machines, including maintaining advanced products such as biomedical laboratory equipment for production and research & development ie; Sputter coaters, reactive ion etcher, atmospheric glove box, vacuum pumps, Yag laser, mask aligner, helium leak tester, RGA, Resistance welder.
? Maintains accurate and complete records of all repairs.
? Perform preventative maintenance, clean, overhaul, and service machines. Verifies and conducts inspections, tests, and reviews equipment and instruments for preventive maintenance programs.
? Oversees and directs outside maintenance personnel and workers engaged in equipment installation and preventive maintenance.
? Documents all work performed on equipment both internally and by outside contractors.
? Backup to Calibration Administrator.
? Specifies, sources, and orders materials required to service and/or repair equipment.
? Specifies, recommends, and maintains materials required to minimize down time due to unplanned repairs and preventive maintenance.
? Performs safety tests of equipment to ensure staff safety.
? Review and assist in the specification of new manufacturing equipment.
? Installs engineering modifications, changes, and updates to equipment with minimum supervision. Assist engineers in determining operating parameters for laboratory equipment.
? Assist and provide backup for Facilities management.
o 2-year degree in electrical engineering or equivalent education
? Experience Required:
o Minimum of five years semiconductor equipment troubleshooting experience or other equivalent equipment service, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
? Required Knowledge:
o Knowledge of word processing software and spreadsheet software.
o Semiconductor equipment troubleshooting experience; electronics knowledge; record keeping and database maintenance.
o Small parts assembly skills.
