Event Admin - Contract Redfin
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED
Redfin seeks an energetic, rock star Event Admin to keep the Events team running like a smooth, well-oiled machine while we continue our quest to spread the word about our customer-first service and world-class real estate search site. Brace yourself: this isn't your run-of-the-mill support gig. We hold about 270 events nationwide every quarter, and your job will be to help the behind-the-scenes details run as smoothly as possible. The schedule will be Monday through Friday.
As the Event Admin for Redfin, you?ll be part of a company that is changing the real estate game in consumers' favor and you'll join a tight-knit team of scrappy event planners. You?ll be responsible for bringing everything together for our team and generally keeping us in line so we don?t miss a beat. You?ll need to be a whirling dervish that devours tasks while supporting others effortlessly. The ideal applicant is proactive, smart, organized, and handy with a computer. No real estate experience is required for this role but a general understanding of the industry is helpful.
What you bring to the table:
A knack for organization: you can?t help but create lists; you?re married to your calendar.
Work-horse ethic: you?ll have plenty of work with deadlines for everything; timing is key, and you?ll need to drive things to completion daily.
Tech-ease: you?ve got to be familiar with Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint, Outlook & Excel, and have a natural ability to pick-up on new programs and tools.
Here?s what you?ll do:
Support the events team: Redfin's home buying classes and small events are a big hit with customers. You'll be the one behind the scenes preparing the materials, taking care of follow up details and making sure that things run smoothly.
Track event budget: work with accounting, venues, and agents to coordinate expenses and receipts.
Maintain surveys: reconciling electronic and physical event surveys after each event.
Assist administratively: day-to-day you?ll be supporting the events team as needed in organizational, tracking, and analytical tasks. You?re a doer so this won?t be a big deal for you.
Innovate and initiate: find 100 ways to make Redfin events better and more successful.
Who you are:
Smooth operator: you love to dance. Your specialty? The multitask-tango. Everyone will want your help, and you'll need to keep the beat even when your dance card's full and the DJ ups the tempo.
Willing to embrace weirdness: you've got a lot of quirks, so you're comfortable working with funky software systems that are everything but straightforward. You learn fast and quickly pick up shortcuts and tricks to streamline processes.
Deadly with the details: you spot typos a mile away and it genuinely annoys you when you can't fix them on websites, restaurant menus, and billboards. You know the difference between affect and effect. You always got A's in grammar (even if you don't want to admit it).
Team player: you work well with others and don?t stop until the job is done.
College grad: you excelled at a four-year school and you're looking for a fun, fast-growing company with great people who can guide you as you make your mark in the real world.
To apply, please send cover letter explaining your interest in the position together with your resume.
