THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Blu Homes, an award-winning pre-fab home design and manufacturing company, is seeking qualified applicants for an Event Manager for its Marketing Team. Blu Homes engineers, manufactures, and sells technology-driven, eco-conscious, precision-built homes designed to maximize space and deliver intelligent, beautiful design for more responsible and economic living.
This position will report directly to the Director of Events Marketing and work out of Blu?s San Francisco office.
This position has full responsibility for the management and execution of meetings and special events for multiple Blu Homes markets throughout the U.S. Coordination includes all aspects of successful event planning including the work associated with holding open houses, design seminars, trade shows and other Blu-specific events. It also includes scheduling and managing Blu?s attendance at trade shows and lifestyle events.
Works closely with Blu?s sales organization to create and execute events designed to achieve sales goals and revenue objectives;
Executes events as part of an integrated marketing communications plan while accurately reflecting brand guidelines;
Manages all logistics associated with a wide range of events designed to reach key audiences and drive leads;
Manages contract(s) for conferences, tradeshows, seminars, etc. with respect to budgets, entertainment, transportation, facilities, technology, equipment, logistical requirements, printing, food and beverage, and other related issues;
Serves as liaison between event contractors, organizers, etc. and Blu staff with regards to all facets of the programs and events;
Plan catering or staging as part of the functions with clients, supplying food and other services as agreed by the parties, supervises all in carrying out the event smoothly;
Follows up with key constituents to ensure corporate standards of quality and service are met;
Maintains close working relationships with event partners to ensure satisfaction and levels of excellence;
Keeps accurate records of all event related costs while adhering to stated budget;
This job requires some travel and some time out of the office managing field marketing activities as well as the ability to pitch in with event/booth set up, tear down, packing and moving of boxes and other event logistics.
Skills and Character:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite;
Analytical, organized, and pragmatic approach with focus on detail;
Ability to create events that maximize the effectiveness of integrated marketing programs;
Ability to integrate within a high-performing marketing team;
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
Strong work ethic and ability to multitask and juggle multiple priorities;

Requires 3 to 5 years in the Event/Marketing function for a company or similar;
Bachelors in Marketing and Communications or Business Management preferred.
