The Marketing Events Manager will be responsible for leading the planning, promotion and successful execution of Jive?s customer conference, JiveWorld. This annual event is the primary conference for Jive?s customer base and prospects where they network with their peers, learn best practices and discover new ways to better use Jive in their companies.
This person will also be responsible for expanding the success of the US event into new markets to support Jive?s international expansion.
The event marketing manager will report to the Sr. Director of Customer Marketing and will be responsible for overall event success including direct responsibility for managing promotional campaigns, logistics, budget and leading a cross functional team to deliver an excellent experience for our customers.
The ideal candidate has strong organization skills, is creative, cares about the details and is a problem solver with a sharp focus on outcomes. A minimum of five years experience organizing events such as customer conferences, company events, executive meetings and other marketing events is required.
Responsibilities:
Research locations; make recommendations for logistical flow based on event space and conference history
Ensure an exceptional customer experience that exceeds expectations
Lead the pre-event promotion campaign and work with sales teams to meet registration goals
Organize and manage cross-functional core team responsible for experience, production, content, sponsorships, ancillary events, PR, etc.
Manage relationship with external vendors
Analyze and report weekly progress and event status to avoid risk
Manage marketing event coordinator position to balance workload and responsibilities
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree in business, marketing, communications or hospitality management is required.
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in the event management field
Strong organization skills, with an attention to detail.
Experience in managing vendors, people, budget and timelines.
Familiarity with Salesforce, Marketo and other marketing automation systems for websites, registration and email communications.
Flexible, self-motivated, energetic, passionate, considerate, creative and uses time productively and efficiently.
Exhibits record of leading, motivating and keeping cross functional teams on track.
Ability to resolve issues creatively and professionally.
Professional designations such as CMP, ESEP, CEMP
Travel required.
