Among other things, this position will be responsible for creating high quality sales materials, creating client contracts and interacting with Event Sellers and client calls on a regular. This role is integral to the success of the Event Sales team. It requires an individual willing to accept the responsibility of ensuring success for BlogHer?s sponsors as well as each member of the BlogHer community.
The Sales Planning primary responsibilities include:
Support Event Sales team in pre-sale efforts (participating on calls, providing clients with follow up information, etc.)
Assist Event Sales team in the creation of effective, innovative sales kits and proposals
Clearly understand and communicate client sponsorship objectives to BlogHer team
Create new sponsorship contracts and work closely with Corporate Counsel on review process
Collaborate with Event Client Services and Event Operations teams during development of sponsorship packages
Research potential clients for prospecting as well as thoroughly researching incoming inquiries
Organize and maintain sponsorship data used across teams
The ideal candidate will:
Have strong knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint
Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce
Be able to handle multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
Have demonstrated ability to work with and speak the language of Event Sales, Event Logistics, and Event Programming
Be inquisitive, innovative and interested in how things work
Possess excellent organizational, communication and multi-tasking skills with an eye for detail

Translate ideas into compelling sales presentations

1+ years experience in online media/event experience, especially in a sales role/environment or analytics environment.
Strong Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, Excel, GoogleDocs skills

Minimum Level of Education Required:
BA/BS in marketing/advertising/communications field and/or equivalent experience
