THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Blu Homes, an award-winning pre-fab home design and manufacturing company, is seeking qualified applicants for an Event Specialist working as part of its Marketing Team. Blu Homes engineers, manufactures, and sells technology-driven, eco-conscious, precision-built homes designed to maximize space and deliver intelligent, beautiful design for more responsible and economic living.
This position will report directly to the West Coast Senior Events Manager and work out of the company?s San Francisco office.
The person in this role will support the management and execution of special events and meetings to maximize our West Coast market opportunity. Coordinating key components of the work associated with holding successful open houses, design seminars, trade shows and other Blu Homes events is central to this position.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
Works closely with the Senior Events Manager to create and execute events designed to achieve sales goals and revenue objectives.
Executes event responsibilities as part of an integrated marketing communications plan while adhering to brand guidelines.
Manages a specific set of logistics associated with a wide range of events designed to reach key audiences and drive leads. This includes field work, shipping, site visits, ordering signage and giveaways; collateral requirements, event check-in, venue research, etc.
Plans catering as appropriate supplying food and other services to ensure a successful event.
Follows up with key constituents to ensure corporate standards of quality and service are met.
Maintains close working relationships with event partners to ensure Blu satisfaction and levels of excellence are maintained or exceeded.
Keeps accurate records of all event related costs while adhering to stated budget.
Willingness to work weekends and nights, as required
Manage set-up and take-down trade show booths and staff events.
Character & Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable learning new software solutions.
Analytical, organized, and pragmatic approach with focus on detail.
Grace under pressure.
Ability to integrate with and add value to a high-performing marketing team.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong work ethic and ability to multitask and juggle multiple priorities.

Experience: Require 3 years in the Marketing Events or similar. Bachelor?s Degree in Marketing and Communications or Business Management preferred.
