The Events Manager is responsible for event planning, production, and administration of company tradeshows, conferences, and support for regional events. This position works collaboratively with marketing, sales, and executive management to offer creative ideas for trade shows and event functions and to ensure that all aspects of these events run smoothly.
Researching potential events to sponsor and/or attend throughout the year
Supporting regional events ? for 3 geographic territories and install base teams
Securing event venues, negotiating contracts, and managing the budget for the overall event
Helping to identify target event speakers
Managing the registration process and marketing and promotion of the event (target invite list, invite creation, email blasts)
Creating and monitoring event timelines and schedules for event deliverables
Coordinating event catering, exhibit displays and audio visual requirements
Determining branding opportunities, attendee handout materials and giveaways
Arranging accommodations and communicating logistical details to attendees
Participating onsite at events to ensure successful execution
Scheduling debrief with attendees to capture meeting notes and discussions
Tracking lead generation and updating CRM system for event ROI
Communicating summary/results to the sales and marketing team post event
Minimum of 3-5 years experience in event management with demonstrated success and proven results
Must be detail oriented, meet numerous and strict deadlines within a team environment, and be able to manage multiple projects with little supervision
Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Strong customer service ethic and high expectations for quality
Ability to travel regularly in the US; must be willing to work occasional weekends
Proficient using the latest versions of MS Office Suite, Adobe Suite a plus
Experience with Salesforce.com CRM and marketing automation tools (Marketo experience preferred)
