Palo Alto Networks is currently recruiting for a Events and Communications Mgr., located in Santa Clara, CA. This role is within the Sales Operations department and reports to the VP WW Sales Operations.
The role consists of two primarily functions, sales events management and communications across the entire Sales organization.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Events: The person in this role must have experience in managing all aspects of sales events such as annual sales kick off meeting, annual sales incentive trip, quarterly business review meetings and managing executive briefing center meetings with customers. The scope of these events are worldwide. Experience in working with third party event vendors, hotels, caterers, logistics, and other similar event related parties is a hard requirement.
Sales Communications: This function will ensure effective communication to the sales organization. This will consist of top-down communications related to product launches, sales enablement activities, sales events, etc. Excellent written and verbal skills are required.
Requirements: The person in this role needs to have a high level of attention to detail, have a high degree of organization and time management skills. Be able to manage multiple projects in parallel. Have a collaborative personality that allows for building strong relationships within the company. Collaboration between numerous functional groups will be essential in this role's success.
The ideal candidate is required to have a BA/BS in hospitality, business or related education with 2-4+ years experience in events management or related experience. Advanced Excel skills a definite plus. Proficiency in effective communication skill and tools. Experience with vendor negotiations is required. Must have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be organized, detail oriented, thorough and accurate. Must have ability to work under pressure, often times long hours, ability to travel to event sites worldwide, and deliver against tight deadlines with complete accuracy. Ability to work independently and take initiative.
