Executive Assistant/Project Coordinator Optoro
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Reporting to the company's two co-founders, the Executive Assistant/Project Coordinator will be responsible for organizing and executing the day-to-day office administration, administrative tasks and special projects. We are looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated individual who will use stellar organizational skills to work proactively and creatively to ensure the management team performs productively and the office runs efficiently. The successful candidate is a Jack/Jill-of-all-trades who understands the requirement for flexibility, accommodates shifting priorities in a very fast-paced office environment, is passionate about working for a tech start up, and seeks additional responsibilities as our company grows. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure and learn the inner workings of an e-commerce company from the ground up. This is a full-time exempt position in the Lanham, Maryland office, until such time a satellite office is opened.
Work closely with the CEO and COO on current priorities and projectsAttend executive meetings and record meeting notes and action itemsManage scheduling for both internal and external eventsArrange travel as needed for senior managementManage communications from the CEO's officeAssist in the preparation of presentations and reportsHandle company information requestsWork with executive management to ensure proper messaging is being executed online Participate and initiate online discussions related to company goalsRegularly monitor and track discussion topics for the management teamWork on special projects as neededWork on marketing initiatives as neededManage vendor relationships Proactively monitors, stocks and orders kitchen and office supplies while staying within an allotted budgetOther duties as assigned from time to time by your manager
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative support role (preferred)Stellar organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and effective time management and prioritization skillsExcellent written and verbal communications skillsA strong desire to succeed in a fast-paced, continuously changing environment with the ability to multi task and meet deadlinesKnowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as Google AppsFlexibility and adaptability are crucialAbility to be a self-starter and work without direct guidance and oversight A good attitude and appreciation for new challenges and venturesPrevious experience in a venture capital-backed start up a plus
A Bachelor's degree from a 4 year college (or equivalent) is preferredA degree in Journalism, English or Communication is preferred
